The Secret to Starting off the New Year on a Positive Note

The Reality of New Year’s Resolutions

Start off the Earth’s complete rotation around the Sun with a skip in your step. Your New Year’s Resolutions are already becoming a reality, because the New Year is the New You. Start off the New Year on a positive note by trusting yourself. You will achieve your New Year’s Resolutions no matter how long it takes or how difficult it may be. Don’t let indulging on trigger foods, or not exercising every day get you down. Small steps forward means your still movin’!

Positive changes begin the minute you realize you can do anything. Once you’ve done that, you’re already new person. Good job! One New Year’s Resolution down, and counting!

Start off the New Year on a positive note, because this year, your New Year’s Resolutions are a reality. Use these tips to make your New Years day just as successful as the year to come.

Create a New Year’s Resolutions Board

At the New Year’s party, post up a chalkboard with the title: New Year’s Resolutions. Bring plenty of chalk for you and your friends to use throughout the night. Every time you think of awesome new year’s resolutions, write it on the board for everyone to see.

The broadcasted new year’s resolutions will display everyones desire to change. You and your friends won’t feel alone in their desire to improve their life, and others may be encouraged to come up with their own new years resolution.

Compare your new year’s resolutions with each others. See what you have in common or what you think is another good idea. Discuss your new year dreams throughout the night and you may find people want to work on their new year’s resolutions along with you! It’s great to find extra support so you can get that push you need in hard times. Even if you don’t find a partner, you’ve written down your new year’s resolutions for all the world to see, so someone’s going to hold you accountable, if not yourself!

Visualize your Goals

As you walk around the party chatting with friends, visualize the new you. Make your New Year’s Resolutions come to life by seeing yourself as the person you desire to be. If your goal is to become fluent in Spanish, imagine what a good party trick it would be to flawlessly sing a Shakira song on the karaoke machine! Or if you want to lose ten pounds, visualize your toned body in your sparkling new years dress. The confidence that comes with achieved goals will radiate from your smile, and people will be drawn to you.

Become your New Year’s Resolutions right away, even if they have not physically manifested yet. Visualizing your New Year’s Resolutions will remind you why these goals will have a positive influence on your life. Start your New Year’s Resolutions on the first day, and your vision will become a reality before you know it.

Raise your glass to your New Year’s Resolutions with a glass of bubbly champagne! Celebrate the New Year and the New You. Be proud of yourself. The fact that you even want to change your life for the better is a big deal. It takes a lot of bravery to recognize and accept the things you need to change in your life. And now you have made a written declaration of success for you and all the world to see!  Cheers to you!

Plus: Champagne has many health benefits. One being memory improvement. Maybe remembering things better is one of your new years resolutions? Drink up and remember your new year’s resolutions! Champagne is also the lowest calorie alcoholic beverage. Maybe weight loss or a healthy diet is your goal? Drink up and slim down! But let’s practice drinking champagne in moderation…

Forget Regret

Before you can succeed in your New Year’s resolutions, you have to do one thing: Forget Regret.

The classic song, “Another Day”, in the musical Rent addresses the theme “Forget Regret or Life is yours to Miss”. Leaving your past mistakes behind is the only way you can move forward and on to another great year. Make the new year fresh by cleaning the slate and dumping all the negative energy in the trash. While everyone should learn from their past, there’s no point in letting old ghosts haunt you. If you felt bad about not making healthy decisions, shake off that guilt and become the healthy person you desire to be. Happy people are generally healthier people. If you were embarrassed about a certain incident, let it go, if it doesn’t bother you it won’t bother others. Your accidents do not define you. Your past does not define you. You define you. Fly into the New Year with a light mind by dropping the heavy baggage.

Forgetting regret should be a new years resolution in itself and applied to your entire life, no matter what time of the year. If you don’t achieve your new years resolutions right away, do not think you have wasted time. Think of it as taking your own time in achieving your goals, and take the pressure of succeeding right a way.  So shed the guilt, and become the new you. Every day will feel like the New Year if your trust yourself to make your new years resolutions a reality.
